extremely impressive Pokemon numbers for the 3DS titles considering the DS has sold like 2x+ the number of systems. Just goes to show the Pokemon fanbase is extremely loyal and consistent. Expect similar numbers for the Switch iterations

3ds numbers are higher, you're not counting downloads... It's at least 10% more.

Pokemon on Switch should be a big jump. We are going from a 6th generation technology to a 8th generation technology. It will also have 16 GB to play with. So much excitement!

The Black 2/White 2 number is for Japan alone, because it launched there months before it launched anywhere else. Ultra SuMo is pretty far behind, launches aligned.

They both did really well

Switch version will be probably at a higher price-point so will be interesting to see if it will affect sales in any way

Good!   I think everyone was a bit disappointed that we didn't get a Moon 2. Especially for the fact that it felt like they were teasing it.

I can see where you are coming from. Still an average look HD game is still a big jump from the 3DS games and their 240p screens. Honestly I am more worried about them rushing the game. If they started development on the Switch version in 2016 it will barely have two years of development time if it releases in 2018.

The 3DS games did very well, considering the fact that the console only sold half as much as its predecessor. Hopefully Pokémon Switch will reach the 20 million mark.

Sales numbers for the 3DS games are pretty impressive considering that the console sold less than half of what the DS did. Pokémon for Switch will probably sell more than any other Pokémon game (maybe not more than Red/Blue/Green) unless they screw everything up.

I don't think Pokemon Switch will be anywhere near as big as people here are predicting, but it isn't impossible.

Especially since it seems Switch seems to have gotten the biggest Zelda and 3D Mario to date.
