the switch is only close to ps4 at the moment because it got a launch boost, and a post holiday launch which tend to sell double the amount of a regular holiday launch.

Nintendo really killed it this year, fantastic sales and fully deserved. It's honestly amazing looking at the Switch's entire first year and what it has.

and so many more, including some exclusive third party games like Super Bomberman R and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle 

It's really exciting to see how 2018 goes, just gotta wait for that January direct that is hopefully real lol 

Well, even if that is true, I don't see the need to downplay the Switch's sales, because eventually it'd go under the PS4.

remember this is nintendo next consoles and handheld, with nintendo's biggest guns coming out the first year.

I can only imagine what'll happen Pokemon hits.

Pokemon and Super Smash Bros and Animal Crossing and 2D Mario and a brand new Mario Kart and everything else hasnt released yet! Looks like it wont collapse next year afterall

I think pokemon will offer a nice boost, but 2d mario, and smash with have very little effect. i think most nintendo fans have bought one by now, i don't think many can resist mario 64 sequel, most hyped zelda ever, mario kart, and splatoon ( japan only) sales will slow down next year for sure imo.

sales are great so far, just pointing out why it's close to ps4.
