Would/should they still call it Mario Kart? Do you think they lose sales if the game isn't called Mario Kart? 

People who vote Mario Kart 8 DLC are lacking in imagination

I would also like to see Diddy Kong Racing 2. But surely we can only dream of it...

I have MK8 + 2 DLC on WiiU, so MK9.

They already did, that's ARMS. We'll likely start hearing about the next Mario Kart once they're done with the content updates for ARMS, or at least I hope so. MK8D is great for those that missed out on the original, but it's time for a new one.

These kind of comments I don't get. Don't you think MK9 will largely have the same "feeling" as MK8? Why would you be afraid to Switch to a new game when it will probably just build upon 8? No offense intended, just curious

We already have Mario Kart on the Switch, so I'd like to see something new: a Nintendo all-stars racing game.

I would rather have them just add new content to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe & ARMS while making a brand new game in a different franchise.

Fresh new game would be much better, so, it's Mario Kart 9 with further improved mechanism.

I'd rather have the Odyssey DLC.
I don't think we need a MK9, at least not until NS2 is a thing. Same goes for Splatoon 3 and Smash 5. There's enough content to last a very long time and the online multiplayer extends Mario Kart's lifespan even further than past entries. Plus, that would allow the dev team behind Mario Kart to focus on other things and build their resume and library with some new IPs, like ARMS, or take a shot at making a new game for a long lost series or franchise like Diddy Kong Racing or F-Zero.
Mario Kart 9 being announced already for Switch would just be, in my view, a disappointing waste of opportunity.

I purchased the DLC back when I owned the game on Wii U so for me, this is like milking on top of milking. I'm ALL for new games over milking old ones. Enough is enough.
