Speaking about the year rankings, I notice that the standard XB1X is not in the Top 100 despite it ranking high when preorders went up and when it launched. Do you guys think it didn't sell that "great" or that perhaps the sales of the Scorpio edition + standard XB1X are combined into one ranking on the 2017 chart?

Probably didn’t sell that great since it didn’t have the name Scorpio since that was the more popular name.

No its already done that.  Its chasing Xbox One X yearly sales.  Which it will obviously take. The question is, can Xbox One S step in and save the day.

If we see early price drops... we know things didn't go as planned. A sign of super frontloaded sales. To be fair, Phil Spencer always said that this was supposed to be a more niche product, but they did market it like a brand new console. Even down to numbering the year on the Project Scorpio edition as an official new gen Xbox release. They WANT to sell a lot of these, they put in too much hype behind it to let it slide. It was important that this system one-upped Sony's current hardware. If it's not in a place they want it to be, I expect a repeat of the same strategies from four years ago.
