So the PS4 slim made it into best sellers 2017 before the standard Xbox One X...in 2 days. I might have to rethink my prediction for November NPD.

You are forgetting about xbox one x pre-orders.

I'm not forgetting. Only the Scorpio edition was available for pre-order and it didn't even break into top 20 for the month.

Those pre orders are counted as august sales. It's #3 for august.

edit: normal edition is #23 for September. All the pre orders actually count as November sales for npd

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Can we pretty much say that the PS4 is the Underdog this month?

Lots of people are expecting Xbox to win because of the Xbox One X and its Pre-Orders.

Lots of people are expecting the Switch to win because of Mario Odyssey and the hotness of the device.

The PS4 is sitting in the back quietly but doing its thing.

Id say the Biggest Upset should be the PS4 winning the NPD.

The Biggest Letdown should be the Xbox One losing it.

Yes it would be the biggest upset but remember that for PS4 to win, it would have to beat the year amount for BOTH Xbox one X models (not to mention Switch).  This would make a PS4 victory astonishing.

Also its number on at BestBuy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?nrp=15&cp=1&seeAll=&browsedCategory=abcat0700000&qp=&ks=960&sp=-bestsellingsort%20skuidsaas&sc=Global&list=y&usc=All%20Categories&type=page&id=pcat17071&iht=n&st=categoryid%24abcat0700000&lid=Products:%20All%20New%20Releases&ref=30&loc=KW-4321&ksid=ad2a2446-c454-4500-ad55-48d2ec7420cd&ksprof_id=15&ksaffcode=413994&ksdevice=c

Post certainly reads like a paid ad... If I was KazumaKiryu, I'd bill Sony.

That's what you gathered from his post? That Sony paid a random guy to go on a random gaming site and post a single post about their next year of gaming? You chose to go with this notion as opposed to the notion that he is simply excited for what PS holds in the next year of gaming? .....oooookay??

On Topic -  I think this month could go either way. Xbox has the X preorders. Sony has the BFII and CoD preorders (not sure how significant, if at all) as well as the $199 Fool's Edition currently tearing up the charts. The Switch will sell large amounts no matter what, but will demand out-weigh the Xbox preorders and Sony discounts and will Nintendo be able to supply the demand? Regardless of the questions, I am leaning towards - Switch>Xbox>PS4.

Sorry, it's just that posts that read like that are not a common sight for me...

You're right I misread it.

Though sales in August and September are much slower than November.  Microsoft is going need the Xbox One S to do some big numbers this month to take an NPD win.

I really dont think any of them are an underdog, it wouldnt surprise me one bit if any of them won.

Would be nice to see all 3 over 1 million, idk when the last time 3 consoles did that in a single month.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

PS4 slim 1TB entered the yearly chart, currently on #98

Neon Switch still doesn't move there, there must have been a huge gap between the Neon Switch and the 10$ Xbox Card to hold it up this long!

Not really.  Once I saw the $200 BF deal for the PS4, I knew there was a good shot of it getting 1st place.  The Switch probably has a ceiling on how much it can sell due to stock issues and the xb1x didn't do as much to jumpstart xbone sales as some people anticipated

Yeah, I think regardless of who 'wins', all three hardware manufacturers will be happy with how much they sell at the end of the holiday season.
