I was 17 when this game came out. How life was so much simpler back then...

Sigh*

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I'M AN OLD FART!!! I didn't play it till after Reach but still the game feels so special to me. I love that mission where you get in the Hornet and destroy the scarabs. Or at the end when Arby misses the Chief ;_;

I hated this game. It's the game that got me off the Halo bandwagon. I think the CoD4 MP beta killed literally all of my buzz for Halo 3. Still, the amount of hype for this thing was unreal. Idk if I have ever seen a game marketed so much or if we'll ever see one reach its level again. You could be pumping gas at 7/11 and a Halo 3 ad would play, inviting you to come inside and buy a copy. Insane.

At least it exposed people to the greatness that was Crackdown. A handful of my friends bought that game just for the beta access. Like me, they ended up enjoying it more than Halo 3.

Time sure has pass by fast.

Even though Reach was a big seller and popular, Halo 3 was the last Halo title that was an "event". I wish the people who made those first three Halo titles were still making them.

Bad taste?

Yeah, reach was one of the best single player campaigns in the series. The multilayer though... Was dreadful. Halo 3 was their last complete package of brilliance. Including the first Destiny. I have no intention of playing the second because of it.

I played only the campaign and, well, it was forgettable at best. Not a fan of FPS levels in general, though, I usually play them just for the multiplater, and sure enough I didn't play Halo 3's because by that time I didn't have XL Gold anymore, but given my experience with the OG Halo's multiplayer, I know I would've loved this one.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I bailed on Xbox a few months before this came out. I loved Halo, and to a lesser extent, Halo 2, so it kinda sucked not playing it. Still haven't played a Halo game since Halo 2.

Crackdown was pretty awesome imo. I never did get all those orbs.
