Forums - Gaming Discussion - Nintendo is going to kill Playstation.

Switch didn't launch 'til March.

I thought we were talking about PS4's peak year but now we're only going to count from March and onwards ? (OK, two can play it at this game.)

Even if we take out Jan and Feb, PS4 is STILL spanking the Switch even including it's inflated honeymoon launch period. (5.4M vs 6.1M)

How is the Switch matching PS4 ?

The Switch is literally 3M units behind PS4 going by this site's data from the beginning of this year until the end of July ... (5.4M vs 8.4M)

Switch didn't launch 'til March.

Launching this year would be an advantage to Nintendo. I know this is satire but, per Sony, last year was the peak year.

PS4 sales From January to July 2016: 6.7 millions

PS4 sales from January to July 2017: 8.4 millions WITH the switch and Xbone X at November.

of course PS4 is DOOMED!!

Is this a joke thread or something? ;-D

Sure mate, if that helps you sleep at night

The launch month did sell quite alot so that covered the first 2 months. This year will be switch peak year.  Yes you hear it here first

There's plenty of room in the market for both. At this point the PlayStation is one of the few things keeping Sony itself afloat, and they'd never allow their consoles to become so undesirable that no one would be interested.

There really isn't though. Even if Nintendo and Sony reached a truce, the shareholders would decide otherwise.

Remember, the video games industry is still young and there is a lot of room and potential for it to continue growing.

I can see the Switch gaining a lot more interest if or when Rainway, or a Nintendo / Nvidia alternative arrives.
I am sure Nvidia would love to offer their cloud gaming solution on the Switch, for a fee of course.

EA was also talking about them preparing for a streaming future recently.
I wonder if that was their Seed announcement at E3.

Hm. I see what you mean. How much time does Playstation have, though? When will we see the damage? This holiday season? Early next year? Holiday season 2018?

I want to know how long Playstation has left.

Ubisoft and Bethesda seem to be on board pretty quick whereas Activision is looking at making CoD for smart devices (last thing of note I heard). Makes me think Activision thinks it can 'birdman' Nintendo. Good Luck Activision.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

Oh, I forgot about Activision's CoD mobile game.
Ew.
Unless it is good, I guess.
