Avatars can make people easier to recognize, and there's a chance I might make some assumptions about people based on their avatars, but beyond that? Whatever. I don't usually pay much attention to avatars unless they stand out somehow.

That said, I very carefully choose my own avatar, as I feel like it can be interpreted to represent me. Of course since I use the same avatar pretty much everywhere I can, there's not much choosing to be done, but in places where I can't upload my own avatar, I pick my avatar quite carefully.

How funny

Here we go again, Suikoden II, first ever RPG played, best ever RPG played(imo of course), only RPG that I played on multiple platforms(PS1, PSP, PC Emu), only RPG finished more than once(5 times to be exact), so yeah, as far as favorite RPG goes, this is "the" one. (And have I mentioned I looked like the kid in my avy when I was in highschool? no? well there you go then.)

Edit: Its importance? It shows how I feel about a memorable game that I have enjoyed more than anything else, atleast for this site.

I use avatars to remember who is talking so that I can get a better perspective on why the person posts what they post. If the person changes their avatar every week then I just remember their signatures. If the person uses neither than I have no idea who you are. Might as well be a ghost to me. (Sometimes I remember usernames....sometimes.)

As for me I tend to have an avatar for whatever I am currently obsessed with. Right now I am not obsessed with anything so I just use my neutral Snivy avatar.

I think mine looks really good with the writer and supporter tags. Too much empty space tho. 8/10

I consider avatars to be somewhat important, although it depends. It can make it easier to recognize a user if they stick with a specific them, or just stick with a main one. There's also just that they're nice to look at. Those who don't use one feel flat and lack any sort of characteristic, at least to me.
