Nothing wrong with ports, but to this day, if you take away all ports from Switch's line-up, there's hardly a game left...

Zelda, ARMS, Splatoon 2, and Mario+Rabbids are all "hardly a game"? The only high-profile port on Switch is Mario Kart.

Bring em on. When I'm home, my life is dominated by responsibilities and time that I have to spend with my wife. When I'm at work, my time is my time and I love spending that time playing video games. I want EVERYTHING on the Switch and I don't care where it comes from or how.

BotW isn't a port, it's a multiplat. Games released at the same time aren't ports. "Porting" implies non-simultaneous development.

If they choose good games or even better great classics, it's an excellent thing for gamers that didn't play them on other platforms.

Still, if it weren't on Switch you could still play it. It was in development for Wii U, then ported over. It wasn't like when it was in it's conception they were making it for Switch as well.

When speaking about Nintendo themselves, I do not care. If I own the game already, I will not buy it again. If I never got around to the game previously or feel the online community will be stronger with the updated port, then I will buy it. They do not bother me either way.
