No, because  most people bet Mayweather to win so you won't make much money betting on Mayweather. Also, it means Mayweather literally has to do nothing.

That's incorrect. So many more people have bet on Mac that the lines have shifted ridiculously to as close as 2-1 odds. The reason being, if Macgregor wins, the casinos and gambling sites are fuuuuucked. Even with the adjusted odds, many will lose a years wirth of profit or more is he wins.

The bookmakers have the odds in Mayweather's favor though, if he bets on himself he gets only a vry small return on investment, whereas if he were to bet on McGreggor and then throw the fight, he can get as much as a 7x return. That being said, you'd have to be an idiot to attempt this, you'd piss of anybody that bet on you and may even end up with people gunning for your head because they lost money.

Yeah, reminds me of Andrés Escobar, some people get really pissed.

Hmmmm, looks like I'm wrong. There IS more money on Floyd. More people are betting on Conor, but the bigger individual bets are on Floyd. Still way closer than it should be, and the danger to casinos and betting sites is real is Conor wins.

Yeah, I heard there were two $2m+ bets on Mayweather as of yesterday.

Wow, out of all the things to spend that much money on, that wouldn't even come close to the top of my mind.

I like how this fight is being hyped up yet the last big hyped fight with Floyd and Pac was a one sided underwhelming affair, I'm not expecting much from here either as the result is down to Floyd alone. I can see Conner trying to go for power early on while Floyd defends and wears him down I have a feeling this could end up like the Hatton fight, age is the only ally Conner is going to have in that ring.
