Most owners of anything (not just PS4) will always say yes because psychology says so. If a person says no, most of the time, it means (in their minds) they're poor at making sound decisions or they're stupid etc. Insecurities brought on from childhood, originating from parental or peer based interactions drive these sorts of illogical thought processes.

It takes a certain person to be able to admit they're wrong and/or made a bad choice and there's not many of those people walking around.

Lol get out with your pseudo psychology. It has 2.3 times the power, 1 Gig more RAM, a faster SATA Bus, Boost mode for older games and 4K output. All that for 100,- more.

Make up your own mind.

I have a 43" 4K HDR TV, and it was worth it.

My eyes must be better than gergroy's...

Either gergroy is a pathological liar or you are biased.

Guy must have bad eyes or sit too far away from his TV. If your TV is too small, move closer!

4K is 4!!! times the pixels compared to 1080p...Everyone stating that's not noticeable is just in denial (or indeed a liar, even if he's just lying to himself).

What is boost mode? Are the loading times confirmed to be faster and why?

Boost mode allows the PS4 pro to use its power advantage over the PS4 (slim) in games that dI'd not get a pro patch. This results in more stable framerates most of the time and it might even redult in faster loading times, because the CPU is also 30% faster.

A bit more than 33% actually. It makes a noticeable difference in many games that are CPU bound.

Psychology drove your response... it drives every thought, action and behavior in every human being on earth. It would be wise to study it rather than disregarding it entirely.

It definitely isn't hard to have better eyes than mine.  I am blind as a bat.  However, I do have corrective lenses that make my eyesight just fine.  Never said you couldn't see a difference, just that it isn't that big of a difference.  Nothing like the jump from 720p to 1080p.  It is more subtle than that.

Its better than the base model.

Is it $100 better?

Well, thats left for you... I couldn't possibly tell you that.

For me though, its been like this..... I think HDR has had a much more significant effect on overall IQ than higher resolutions. I would have just said "yes, beyond a doubt its worth it" if it weren't that the base PS4 also supports HDR.

I sit 30ft away from my tv, I can't even see if it's on or not, stuff in the way.
The pro allows 1080p over remote play, base is limited to 720p. I can see the difference!

To me, not really. I mean even with a 4K TV, I see little point in buying a new console that plays the same games as the previous one. Seems like a waste of money, especially when the PS5 drops.

But if you value 4K experience in your gaming, go for it. It will be worth it for some, not so much for others. However seeing how you need to ask if it is worth it, maybe you should evaluate how you want to spend/save your money as you seem unsure of what you want yourself.

Maybe you want us to tell you it will be more than you know it is...it isn't. If you want a huge leap in performance, wait for the next cycle of consoles. If you just want the best performing consoles as the come out, by all means buy it. Just don't expect anything mind blowing.
