All governments waste money. That's the only thing they're good at. So, if you want them to stop wasting tax money, you're going to need to abolish government.

Why?  The federal government is even worse than many of the state and local governments in the US.

The difference is we are forced to pay taxes or we are thrown in the government's cage. At least when a company waste money or an organization that's on them.

You aren't forced to pay taxes. You could go live out in the wilderness away from the infrastructure paid for by taxes.

People still lose their jobs there.

Given how high the taxes are in Illinois even before this new tax, it really makes me wonder what the hell they're spending it on to still have budget issues...

I haven't been to Illinois in quite some time but I'm going to Chicago in a week, but what the heck are they spending taxpayer dollars on?

Yep and die I guess. Also, you might lose your job, but if you have skills you are employable so keep that chin up.
