But consider this, the PS4 now has 391 million software units on VGChartz as of June 3rd 2017 (43 months into it's life). The PS3 had 269 million as of June 5th 2010 (also 43 months in). Yet the PS3 managed to end up with nearly 1 billion software units on VGChartz in the end, almost quadrupling what it had in 2010. That's because as the install base gets bigger consoles sell more software. In the next 3 and a half years of the PS4's life it's software sales will far more than double, more likely it will triple. Same will probably go for Xbox One just on a smaller scale.
