I am curious as to why. Considering that Famitsu is not only higher than MC, but 10,000 units higher. That's a pretty big gap.

Lol I love that chart.  It shows while other consoles had much better starts ps4 overcame adversity and is now beasting.  It's defeated the Wii U with ease and the vita will be next.  PS4 in beast mode now.

It launched a long time later then the Wii U and passed it with ease.  By far the best selling home console of gen 8 in Japan.  It's now on its victory lap and will pass out the Wii U again as it doubles it's sales.

LOL. PS4 was catching up despite the slow start resulting from the horrible Japanese lineup until FFXV, and despite Splatoon's massive success. You know damn well that It was going to crush the Wii U regardless of whether or not Nintendo abandoned it.

I dont see what I wrote deserves "LOL"!? What I wrote are facts. PS4 was started catching with Wii U after terrible 1st year but still needed few years to beat failed and worst selling Nintendo console ever in Japan, while in same time on other markets PS4 beat Wii U in just few months after launch.

I laughed because you're ignoring a bunch of important details, while implying it caught up because Nintendo abandoned the Wii U, and not because developers finally abandoned PS3 and later Vita which caused PS4 sales to grow expotentially. I'm not a fan of the misleading pattern of your posts.

Global market is not relevant since home consoles are dying in Japan. PS4 would do well if manages to match PS3 sales under current circumstances.

I didn't ignore anything, I just pointed that PS4 dont catch with WIi U easily like he claims, it took PS4 few years while on other markets PS4 catch up only few months after launch. And of course we are talking about Wii U here, failed console and worst selling Nintendo console ever.

But this is thread about Japan market. It wouldn't be big success because of every other market PS4 is selling twice better than PS3 in same time while in Japan currently is selling on pair with PS3, but considering Japan market it would be OK if PS4 match PS3 sales or sell little better.

Ps4 outsold WiiU, XBO and Ouya combined in Japan, MASSIVE SUCCESS :P
