Resident Evil Vendetta is a fresh approach to the Capcom videogame adaptations. It seems to have taken a page out of the Marvel book, by keeping the plot focused, delving in on character relationships, personal motivations and genuinely bringing you into the world of the resident evil. The movie is first the Resident Evil movies to not keep you in the thick of surviving the flood of Zombies, but kept laser focused on the relationship between the protagonists and antagonists and the stopping the the antagonist from spreading their virus upon a unsuspecting population. It has the usual resident evil tropes and unbelievable and over the top action that Capcom fans have become accustomed to since Resident Evil 5. After its all said and done, it implies that there is more in store...and the way that is is done is not over the top but just enough to keep you guessing what will come next.
Lastly, Prepare for a gun cqc sequence that would make the directors of Equilibrium and Metal Gear Solid blush. It also has some of the best CGI in any Videogame movie thus far (Yes...even
Its not the best movie, but its a very good CGI based action movie. Its a good rent or buy...so check it out! in comparison to FFVII: Advent Children).
