They're mostly referring to making the Switch's screen bigger via those black corners surrounding the screen itself. Stretching the image so that the image and video on the screen is bigger, other than that, it's exactly the same size. 

One thing about the current Switch--it loans itself to any number of peripherals. Nintendo could easily make a dock that mimicks the 3DS clamshell design.

Switch XL with beefed up next tegra chipset.

This is the main reason I have held of atm.

Switch as is not perfect but just right enough.

Only a bigger screen or an additional JoyCon with D-Pad would make it better (besides the longer battery runtime coming with the die-shrink).

But i see issues with the XL version: in the current design the speaker holes are at the bottom...

but with mini detachable joycon(that can be expandable to a regular size joycon).
Trails also in the horizontal, so, we could put the screen in vertical , and it would be like a 2DS. And also has 3DS BC.

It would be the only option that still keeps the switch concept, in handheld only form.

I'd love a Switch XL.

That's it. I'm pretty happy with what we have now, but these little things would make an excellent product be perfect.

You realize they can make it the same size, but with less bezels the screen would be bigger, right? I think that's what most people want in the future. xD

This is similar to what I had in mind, but there is one thing. Battery life will take a huge hit because of increase in the size and resolution of the screen, while the battery itself stays the same size due to the whole unit being the same size.

But other than that, this is something that the vast majority of people would really prefer.

That's how I'd prefer it. For a portable, it's really quite large already. I don't care about increased power in the unit either. Rather they took the route of a more powerful dock.

Some good and interesting designs here, though even if I didn't have a Switch, I'd still get the original. I think that one works best for its concept.
