Never thought Platformer genre was struggling.



I think it's already happening.

Granted Yooka-Laylee tanked, but there is definitely interest. The Crash N-Sane trilogy, for example. And look at the Switch line up. New Yoshi AND Kirby coming out next year? Hot damn.

Why do people keep posting lists of 2D platformers? The OP is talking about 3D platformers, not 2D.

He's talking about big-budget, open-world type 3D platformers.

And for the people who keep saying, "It never stopped" or, "There are plenty already"...please name 5 good ones from the current gen.
