Do you think a revised 1080p screen Switch could run Mario Kart Arcade GP VR?

Not expecting quite the same level of graphics of course but a slightly beefed up model with their patented VR visor accessory using a updated smaller Switch with 1080p screen?

Seems doable to me albeit with a lower resolution and detail.

More importantly would their be a market for it?

Maybe? But is Nintendo interested in VR? I can't imagine the Switch having VR, it seems like something that Nintendo's not really going to pursue.

It'd be useless.

A revision just for VR? Why would they do that?

A revised switch would have a better screen AND more power so probably yeah. That footage doesn't look too demanding tho.

"Mario Kart" wont work nearly as well in 1st person (which is what VR is all about).

ARMS & Splatoon have great potential in VR though.

That's literally the PS4 Pro.

I don't see a possible future where the switch doesn't get vr, or where the switch doesn't get a more powerful revision.

I ain't gone front. I would buy another Nintendo console with a 1080p screen and more power.

In 2-3 years the market will probably see a New Switch with the prerequisite SoC upgrade, possibly a memory bump and an updated display.

I don't believe Nintendo is in any real hurry to rush new hardware to the market seeing as how the success of the Switch will likely have them scrambling just to keep up with demand for the next year or so.

Of course, they do have the foresight to prepare for when sales level out which means a series of repaints/custom consoles (although it looks like they may do this by constantly releasing new Joy Con sets first) to keep the market engaged before marketing a proper hardware refresh.

I wouldn't be surprised if MP4 was made to be a Switch VR launch game.

With that large screen the VR headset will be heavy and uncomfortable, at least for me. Hopefully they can make it smaller or cut that huge bezel with the revision.

A handheld gamer only (for now).
