So he's basically not saying anything until it gets into details, and then he jumps straight into defense mode. Why am I not surprised to see this stance from Nintendo...

Being able to "cloud save" requires more servers which Nintendo apparently doesn't want to spend money on their online infrastructure till they start collecting the 20 dollars a year from people that pay. Honestly I'm tired of the use of cloud save term. All it means is that it is stored on a server.
File saving to sd card so I can back it up to my PC Kthnkxbye. I don't trust cloud with my stuff all that much. Log into my account. While I'm restoring my system? I'd rather restore my save and patch files while I'm doing that. Before I get it connected to online again.
