We're most likely not born with a determined mindset on what we find gross or not, I'm sure that our education/culture/life experiences, etc; all take part in how we develop that dislike towards certain things. I think eating certain animals is gross, for other people that's something they have no reaction to. If I don't find 600 pounders attractive, that doesn't mean that I hate them or even dislike overweight people; I just don't find them physically attractive. Same goes for 60 year old ladies, same goes for children, same goes for head-to-toe tattooed people, etc. Its just preferences that I have and that doesn't either define me, or make me an asshole.

I assume most of us are living in the West, and that's why most users are trying to impose THEIR points of view unto those that disagree with them.
