Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo games making a return in Brazil

Its Hard to live here guys :(

Nintendo games haven’t been sold in Brazil since January 2015. However, the company now appears to be returning.

These titles are going through the classification process for release in Brazil:

1-2 Switch (Switch)

Mario Party: Star Rush (3DS)

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon (3DS)

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)

Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam (3DS)

Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright (3DS)

Kirby: Planet Robot (3DS)

Unfortunately, Prices are expected to be on the rise. While they were previously at R$330 to R$400 (US$90+ to US$120) for Switch Games and R$129 to R$249 (US$40 to US$75) for 3DS Games . NC Games, a local importer for games in Brazil, will be handling the distribution of Nintendo’s various titles.

I'm so glad! They need to lower those prices tho. Anyway, I'm happy to finally see their games officially again, even if it only serves to help controlling the grey market.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Not a chance until they lower the taxes.

I wish it was easy for every country to get the games they want at a decent price. Those prices are very high, but I am glad those games listed are going to Brazil.

Yep, I know. Even making a direct conversion a game would cost R$200+ right now, then you add taxes and you start understanding why it's so expensive.

How hard is it to get games from the grey market?

Don't know why Nintendo even bothers with Brazil, focus on more important markets like China.
