To be fair, MH4 has the disadvantage of the 3DS's screen resolution.  Monster Hunter isn't the best on the system, not at all, but it is not the worst either.

Yeah even for a portable, 240p is a bit too low in my opinion.

Yet you claim 480p is perfectly fine on TV, get some consistency.

480p on my TV looks better than 240p on my 3DS screen.

The size discrepancy is made up for by the fact that I'm less than half a meter from my 3DS screen but 3 meters from my TV screen.

To me is the opposite, the 3ds scren is so little that those 240p looks way more clear than Wii ever did on any tv screen

I suppose the size and distance from one's TV is a factor. Mine is 42 inch but I sit like 3 meters back from it.

Pretty similar situation in my case and still 3ds looks way more clear. Maybe is becuse I have the very first model with the tiniest screen but I doubt it.

I have the New 3DS XL. 480p on a TV does appear softer due to the upscaling, but I still prefer it as it looks less jagged and pixelated. 640x480 is 3.2 times as many pixels as the 3DS's 400x240.

Why? I think this year the PS4 doesn't stand a chance in Japan with that Switch lineup. Why would you think otherwise?

Rigth now is like 80% market share  own by Nintendo in Japan, with this games that number will rise, why would you think otherwise?

Exactly. I'm opened to opinions, but I think that nowadays thinking that Sony will dominate Japan is outlandish. Unless I'm missing something lol

It's not a lie. I own MH4 on 3DS and I've played Shenmue on Dreamcast.

Shenmue looks superior.

Did you now?  Then why did you post a pic of Shenmue 2?

Did I? I never actually played that one, but it's an easy mistake to make, they look very similar.

Well, here's some of the first game; not the best quality captures, but better looking than the 3DS MH games in my book.

I think it's a little too early to be predicting things like that. Especially when a system is new. Plus dominating the Japanese market isn't much to brag about. This isn't 5-10 years ago. The console market in Japan is pitiful compared to NA and Europe. Good to see Switch doing well but ps4's heavy hitters aren't coming out til fall/winter of this year and then you have RD 2 in the spring. It'll be interesting

Funny how you need to use one of the most expensive games ever done and the best looking game of Dreamcast to make your point about how MHXX is below Dreamcast standars. Not forced at all.
