Hardly Game Over, but yes, Nintendo will dominate Japan, Sony will dominate Europe, they will both share the US and Microsoft... well... not really sure what the strategy is, maybe 4 or 5 more teraflops? Not sure thats what people want though...

MH5 is likely already being made from the ground up for the Switch so the performance of this is pretty irrelevant in that regard.

That may be the case, in any scenario MH5 is coming to Switch.

That goes without saying.

The rumor going around is Sony bought Monster Hunter 5, but Switch is getting a continuation of the MH Portable series. Normally I don't buy into that stuff but the guy called Monster Hunter XX for 3DS and Switch apparently.

I do believe that rumor was torpedoed ages ago.  And I highly doubt such a deal would ever happen.  MonHun is firmly entrenched in the handheld space in Japan right now, Capcom wouldn't risk tying it to a home console.

To be fair, that was not hard to predict. Capcom did the same with MH Tri, they orted the Wii version to both the 3DS and WiiU once those systems came out. A port of the latest MH on the newest hardware makes sense, specially considering they keep selling no matter how hard Capcom milks the IP.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Funny thats the strategy of sony more flops... nintendo is dominating Japan ages ago, with this  the dominance is just innegable, and rigth now USA is slowly transforming in  a second Nintendo Land, so i failed to see that "hardly" you're talking in your post.

just like everybody else did.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

I wonder how much improved the graphics will be. It would be nice to have a game of equal graphical caliber to the Wii U port of Tri.

The second this gets announced for the west, is the second I sell my 3DS copy of this game.

Uh-huh...

I don't remember a time when you didn't buy into a rumor. A couple of weeks ago you claimed that you called an Nvidia chipset for NX for years and then I showed you a post of yours from a year ago where you predicted what NX will be. Said post was a compilation of all rumors and patents that were floating around at the time, so you were convinced that AMD was going to provide the chip for NX.

Another occasion of buying into rumors was when you fiercely defended Nikkei for claiming that NX will run Android. As if there would be any sense in Nintendo putting a competing storefront on their own platform.

Uh first of all I was talking about the Tegra X1 (the exact Switch chip) *two years* ago on this board and how Nintendo fans should pay attention to that tech, well before anyone was talking about it.

AMD was the general consensus as the chip maker for a long time, so in going with speculation threads for the NX, since everyone else was talking about AMD, I factored that in.

Nikkei is still reputable and I would still consider anything they report worth looking at because they have gotten several (not just once) things correct about Nintendo in the past. Perhaps Switch was at one point having experimentation with an Android/custom Android OS, it would make sense because they're using mobile components.

A few years ago Nikkei reported that Nintendo had cut a deal for a Seaman game on DS/3DS .... that game never came, so people said "oh Nikkei was wrong", but at Iwata's funeral the Seaman creator was there and speaking with a magazine said Nintendo indeed had a deal for a Seaman game, the game just never finished development.
