Forums - Gaming Discussion - Xbox Game Pass live now for Gold members with 2 week free trial, launches June 1st for everyone

The Netflix like Xbox Game Pass is now live via Early Access for Gold Members, with a general release following June 1 when everyone can get involved.

Starting today Xbox Live Gold members can start a 14-day free trial to try out the service before signing up for $9.99/£7.99 a month.

Here is a meh Facebook ad starring Kenny Powers:

The trial for preview members was great, even with a limited number of games. This is going to be awesome.

OK, so $10 a month to get access to 100+ games (with more on the way), right?

I'll still need Gold to play the online games? Do you think there will be overlap between free GWG games and Game Pass?

I like that you can buy the games at a discount if you find a rental you really enjoy.

One of the reasons why Xbox Live is on a totally different scale. Can not wait to see whats next.

It's live if you're a Gold member. Just started my 2 week trial.

Downloading Mad Max, Blood Bowl 2, Resident Evil 0, Halo 5, and Bioshock right now :)

Just like EA Access, this is going to be a KILLER value for people who might want to subscribe for a month or two at various points.

Just saw it on Facebook. Started my trial even though I already own too many games. People's gamerscores are going to be off the charts!

I think the idea is to keep it at 100, but slowly phase out games, and phase new ones in there place.

Maybe you ll get a warning "next week, these games will no longer be playable"

And its up to you if you want to play them, beat them, or leave them alone.

Nice, but i have almost every game from this list

Oh OK. I guess I could see using it for a month here and there if a bunch of attractive games launch at once.

Right now, I'm paying $5 a month to own two X360 games and rent two XOne games. I think I'll stick with that for now, but who knows?

In any event, this is a much better service than PSNow or EA Access.

Going to download this after work, can't wait :)
