Forums - Gaming Discussion - Rate your consoles!

3DS - 9/10 - Great games and you can also play the huge DS library on it. Zelda ALBW is da best but Kid Icarus Uprising is pretty close.

PS4 - N/A. It's being repaired and I barely played it so I can't comment on it. But I think it will end up being one of my favorites.

PS3 - 8/10 - Its library lacked in Japanese RPGs and as a whole it wasn't that appealing to my tastes but it's great to play PS1 classics, and I use it to listen to music in Spotify and watch Youtube videos on the big screen :P. My fave game on this console is Ni no Kuni.

Wii - 9/10 - It has Xenoblade and many other great Nintendo games. Also I can play Gamecube games on it and the Virtual Console is amazing. Xenoblade is my fave on this console.

PS2 - 10/10 - Glorious games library. Dragon Quest 8 is my favorite PS2 game.

PSP - 7/10 - I loved KH Birth by Sleep on it (though now that I have KH BBS HD it's kinda pointless). FF Tactics TWoL was amazing too and Crisis Core was a cute prequel.

lol some of those ratings seem to be based on latest console being better then it predecessor

Nintendo DS systems 9/10 - First system, pretty good memories with the games on it, especially Pokemon (also everyone had one)

Nintendo Wii 10/10 - Mainly as a system I used to play with friends. And the multiplayer games on the Wii are the BEST! Wii Play, Wii Sports, Mario Super Sluggers, Wii Fit, Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Galaxy 2, just dance, JUST SO MUCH FUN WITH FRIENDS/FAMILY

Nintendo 3DS systems 10/10 - Awesome system, best game library and played DS games. I hosted a Pokemon party when X/Y came out and it was fun af, 3D mechanic isn't the best for many but I liked it

Nintendo WiiU 8.9/10 - Had some good single/multiplayer games, however the system itself had a lot of technicial flaws such as the gamepad being a hunk of plastic that disconnected from the TV when you got just like a few feet away...

Nintendo Switch 9.5/10 - Greatly executed idea. I bring to school a lot and my friends and I love playing MK8 and other stuff. I also love how clean and crisp the games look in handheld mode, sad part is I don't bother to dock my Switch cuz handheld mode/tabletop mode is so gooood. This score can only go higher when we get more fantastic games coming for the Switch.

Xbox 360 5/10 - idk

Xbox One 9/10 - Its a pretty good paperweight and great online system (except servers are always down).

PSP 2/10 - wh.. where is this system's library, also the system itself is kind of weird

Nes-7/10 Average.Was OK

Gameboy - 5/10 Hyped garbage.

Snes -8/10 Was good not amazing though.

N64 - Exactly as his name, 6.4/10 lol.Cartridges expensive as gold bars, horrible cameras in all games, horrible controller.Limitations in objects placing development.Get rid of it almost right away.

Gameboy Advance-  4/10 More hyped garbage again.😖

Ps One 10/10 Amazing for its time. No more kinter games only.Games were so much fun.Nothing even comes close to that era for a console.

Ps2  - 9/10 Very good.Extensive library.A lot of cool and good games.

Psp 10/10 Best portable ever. Period. Very advanced to its time.Quite a decent and entertaining library. A lot of entertaining outstanding exclusives.

Xbox 7/10 Was decent. Not many exclusives though,I can't say I regret of buying it.

Xbox 360 - 0/10 Worst quailty on a console ever. RROD. Calling support for repair 4 times in a row. Microsore really know to hurt their customers.

PS3 - 8/10 Good. Not as good as PS2 but OK.Had a declining library at the end sadly.Still I not ashamed of mentioning it.

PsVita 6/10 Mhhhhhhh. How to explain your drm and urging need of money is daunting, Sony? Get rid of it almost right away.

Xbox One - Not interested.

Wii U- he.

Ps4 - Not interested yet.Maybe later.

Switch - Not intersted yet.Maybe never.

And that's it, for now.

Haha what are you talking about, all your Nintendo consoles are overhyped trash apparently. Plus its my experience with the consoles

ps1 9.5/10: Great console, never had any problems with it. The glory days of FF.
ps2 9/10: Best library, unfortunately my original one broke. (drive problem)
ps2 slim 9.5/10: It still works, have 2 in the house which still occasionally get used.
ps3 8.5/10: 1080p goodness, full BC, and great blu-ray player, ending in ylod.
ps3 slim 8/10: features cut, but it still works, that slow ui though.
ps4 9/10: best ui, best controller except worst battery life, psvr!
ps4 pro 8.5/10: no 4k player, no dedicated VR port, not really all that pro. Games run great though.

psp 2/10: I don't really like handhelds. The battery bloated and doesn't fit anymore. The charger cable connection is very loose so it turns off randomly if you move while playing.

XBox: 7/10 Some great games ending in hdd failure.
XBox 360: 7.5/10 Great library for the first half interrupted by rrod and rrod and rrod.

Dreamcast: 6/10 Good console, yet smallest (personal) game libray. Plus it didn't play nice with my projector with the only solution running it through a PC capture card to upscale to 800x600 introducing lag. (ps1/ps2/n64 all worked fine directly connected)

N64: 8/10 Great games but ps1 got most of my attention
GC: 9.5/10 Amazing sturdy little lunch box, love it.
Wii: 8/10 Tons of fun, ending in drive failure. Luckily I could still get a replacement with the GC ports.
Wii U: 8.5/10 I actually used it more than the Wii and the gamepad is still used daily.
Switch: 8/10 so far. Fastest starting, least comfortable controller, best Zelda game, held back by mobile HW.

Gameboy color: 5/10 Tetris and Mario on the plane, never used it at home.

XBox 360- 8/10 Solid third party library. Mediocre first party.

PS3- 4/10 I preferred the XBox 360 controller and interface, so that made the PS3 largely redundant. It also broke on me within a year, so there's that.

Wii- 10/10 I really like motion controls. More importantly though, a significant amount of my favorite games are on this system. Mario Galaxy 1/2 earn about 9 points on their own.

DS- 7/10 I really loved it at the time, but compared to the other systems, there's not a whole lot of games I'm really eager to go back to.

3DS- 10/10 As usual, excellent first party stuff, and some decent third party support as well. Probably most played out of any system I've had, so I can't really justify anything less.

Wii U- 6/10 It had a short life, but there are a lot of games I really liked on the system. But, even though there were a lot of games I liked, there were only a handful (Bayonetta, Wonderful 101, Smash) that I really loved.

PS4- 5/10 Bought it on an impulse because I wanted to get myself something nice as a birthday gift. Still only actually own the Uncharted 3 game that came with it (although I've rented others). There's just not that much that interests me. The games that I really bought the system for (Spider-man, Kingdom Hearts 3) come out next year, so hopefully those don't disappoint.

Switch- 4/10 I really like the hardware, but it's basically a Zelda machine for me as of now.

PSP-  6/10 I got it cheap (I think like 50 bucks) and there were enough good games to make that a worthwhile investment.

Vita- 1/10  I honestly completely forgot I owned this thing until I saw it listed on someone else's post.

DS Lite: 9/10 , got me introduced to some great series, like Ace Attorney and Professor Layton, has a good number of RPGs be it ports or new ones, and I still play it to this day. My only complain is that it deserved a better Fire Emblem.

PSP: 8/10 , nearly on the same level that the DS, though the use of UMDs cost it a point, cartridges are just better. Also, I'm still waiting for the western release of Valkyria Chronicles 3...

Wii: 7/10, a great party system, a console that actually made the rest of my family share my hobby is good in my books. Sadly, it's the worst 7th gen console for single player experience.

PS3: 5/10, tied with Wii U as the worst console I've bought. I usually buy Sony's consoles just to play JRPGs, and even if PS3 managed to get the best JRPG of the 7h gen in Valkyria Chronicles and other good ones in the last two years, the years inbetween were so bad that I had to buy an Xbox.

Xbox 360: 6/10, I bought it knowing that the games I was interested in were less than 15, but most of those didn't disappoint. As a plus, I really like its controller.

PS Vita: 5/10, it has some good games, but the lack of support from Sony, the expensive memory cards coupled with a good number of digital-only games, and finally the recent loss of exclusives to PS4 and Steam turned it into a barely decent system.

New 3DS XL: 8/10, a worthy succesor of the DS. After a bad first year, it managed to turn that around and now I've a nice backlog and a good number of announced games on my wishlist, enough to make me forget that Switch exists. Still needs a new Advance Wars entry.

Wii U: 5/10 , few games actually took advantage of what was supposedly its main selling point, and the droughts between releases were almost unbearable. At least BotW still got released for the system.

Well, I guess I'll do every console I have while I'm at it. Now, this is a narrow scale, meaning that the full points will be used, and the numbers have to be taken into account with the context. I'll do out of 5 stars too, because I attempted the 10 point scale and it was too hard.

5* - PS1, PS2
4* - N64, GC, PS3
3* - Wii, XB, DC
2* - SAT, SNES, GEN, PS4, WiiU
1* - NES, SMS
0* - INT

Now, I like all of my consoles, so 0* does not mean that it's horrible.

I can dig it.
