Excited for Octopath Traveler, SMT V(assuming they bring back the damn defense stat) and FE

Why would they do that ?

Because it is a essential stat and ended up hating SMT IV because of it, even though I believe it was a great game.It makes the game feels a bit cheap and kills a lot the sense that you are progressing and getting stronger, since low level demons could still tecnically kill you if you got enough bad luck.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Not really since you get stronger by upping you're magic/phys skills n' having stronger demons in your party, the game is already fine as it is, implementing a defense stat would just make things way too easy.

And yeah, low level demons could still kill you if they can exploit your weaknesses, but you're suppossed to do the same.

Make the game too easy?Didnt know that all the myriad games that came before and after that has a defence stat are too easy.Persona 5 has defence. Its also really easy?

having or not the stat is a design choice, but when you dont have it, you need to compensate it and balance things out.I am not saying that SMT IV does a horrible job(as I said before the game is great) at that, but its faaaaaaar from ideal.Obviosly thats my opinion, but I really hope they learned the lesson and improve the game in that regard.

At the moment, it would be DQ XI, since there is good amount of information about the game for me to be excited about

but FE and Tales could beat it if I know more about those games :/

Right now, probably Fire Emblem.

Dragon Quest XI and Story of seasons come in second and third respectively.

I will wait for more info about Octopath Traveller until I can really judge it's potential. Same thing for SMT, tales and No more Heroes.

if the Seran Kagura Switch is not called "Senran Kagura Boobs Project", I'll be severely dissapointed. XD

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I have my doubts for most of the games listed in this poll actually dropping in 2018. So I picked other, FE has a strong chance, especially given how quickly they did Echoes after Fates and Blazblue seems probable since it really most likely is just a port of the most recent game or it might be one of the visual novel side stories. Everything else I don't trust not even the boob game.

Also Indivisible has shot up in my want list, I had completely forgotten about that game until the most recent trailer.

Out of the choices in the poll, Fire Emblem, and then probably Story of Seasons second.

I mean, how many of those are actually confirmed to release next year? Fire Emblem.. the rest as far as I know have not been confirmed for 2018.

My vote falls for Bloodstained, Lost Sphear and Indivisible out of confirmed games for 2018.
