looks like we have good chances for 0 points/last place again - the german song isn't awful to my ears, but it's very bland (that said I thought the same of "Satellite")

Satellite was great, I was so happy when it won. Perfect Life however is really lame, starts sounding interesting and then is a huge dissapointment on the chorus, also it sounds really similar to Titanium at times.

They don't need to qualify. Too much fear of dropping TV ratings in those countries.

It's actually to do with the money they put into it, they pay a lot more so they get a free pass, UK gets pretty good ratings every year.

I didn't watch the first semi but will watch the other tonight, nothing better than camp cringy songs sung badly.

Hmm, pie.

I have predicted every Eurovision winner for the last 6 year and I really thought Italy would be the winner of this edition since the moment Francesco Gabbani won San Remo, I really love Occidentali's Karma however lately I started to have my doubts about its potential victory and finally yesterday on the semifinal everything felt clear as water:

Portugal is the winner of Eurovision 2017 with the best entry the country has ever sent to the contest. Salvador and his song Amar Pelos Dois are simply amazing and the performance creates a truly wonderful moment that will enchant Europe.

Belgium will probably be the most succesful on international charts though, City Lights is perfect and probably the most modern song ever on the ESC but the live performance is not as strong.

yeah, you got a point

Portugal takes you back to the 60's with a very deep song and a unique heartfelt performance, Italy is cool and catchy but I think Portugal deserves it more this year

Belgium is my personal favorite in the contest, it's the best charting ESC song on itunes at the moment, entered the itunes charts of most semi1 countries so I wouldn't rule out a Belgium win

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Glad to know Belgium is doing well on the charts, really good song.

Italy is actually really really good too, the official video on youtube has more than 100 milions of visits and I totally understand why, however the shorter Eurovision version is a bit worse since they jump from a chorus to another and the live performance is great but is not as powerful as Portugal imo, still I would be very happy with an Italian victory too, but Portugal would be even more beautiful because they have never won since they started on 1964, its currently the country with worst results of the contest but this year they are doing everything right.

Also, I want to go to the contest some year and Lisboa is pretty close from Spain so I may go in 2018 :P

I'm not going to see the semifinal, but I'll be there for this saturday's final!

I hope Australia wins (of course Spain won't), just for the lols.

Australia won't get to the top 10 on televote

I don`t know why most of the Eurovision songs sucks, one or another that are Worth it. I can name the french 2009 entry and Dana International Diva as some of the few good ones.

I can name 50 better than those honestly, in fact this year Italy, Portugal and Belgium have nothing to envy to those songs.
