As long as Nintendo does very well in Germany and France, they can afford to do just "ok" in the UK. Having a big presence in 2/3 big Euro markets is not bad if you're going to be selling gangbusters in North America and doing very well in Japan. 

For UK you need FIFA, CoD, GTA.  That is pretty much all they buy.

Well FIFA is coming, but really the Brits are not everything to everyone. 

North America and Japan are more important markets from the POV of software support. Europe is gravy, and since the system is doing well in the 2/3 of the biggest Euro markets, that's not even a big problem to begin with. 

If the system only did well in US and Japan, Euro developers would have to support the system regardless becuase of success in the US.
