It's not my cup of tea but I know some people will be interested:

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. the premier publisher of anime videogames today announces GUNDAM VERSUS for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. Take control of over 90 Mobile Suits spanning more than 35 years of the Mobile Suit Gundam universe and experience one of the most popular imports in Japanese pop culture history like never before.

World famous giant robot series and notorious head-to-head smash hit, GUNDAM VERSUS, is coming to the Americas and Europe for the first time for home console, this time built from the ground up exclusively for the PlayStation 4 system. Battle in explosive online two-versus-two and three-versus-three team battles in this all-new title built from the ground up for the PlayStation 4 system. Each playable Mobile Suit comes equipped with its own weapons systems to learn and master along with new mobility options that allow for advanced strategy to evade and outwit opponents.

Incredible addition. I don't know if Playstation will ever have a better year of Japanese titles in the west. This could be ps4's peak year for this sort of game.

Yes, definitely  the rebirth  of Japanese  games but.

Ps4  already  has japanse  titles  set for 2018... If everything  goes as i predicted  2018 will be even bigger, ofcourse  we don't  know  if these  games will  be quality.

Honestly... you are probably right...

Persona 5

Nier Automata

Nioh

Tales of Berseria (which is easily one of the best if not the best in the series and my personal favorite)

Yakuza 0

Gravity Rush 2

Hatsune Miku Future Tone (from what ive seen, heard and played its easily the best in the serires)

All of those games are great and i can tell you that im gonna enjoy the 3 bolded ones more than i enjoyed Uncharted 4, (thats not to say that UC4 isnt amazing because its easily my favorite game in the series, but rather to point out that those 3 games are up there in terms of how good they are).

And then we have some other games that arent as great as the previous ones but are still good like Fate Extella and Digimon World Next Order plus the upcoming ones for the rest of the year like Tokyo Xanadu which i already know its great since it released in Japan reviewed really well and is done by Falcom (one of the best devs for JRPGs right now), and Gundam Versus which is literally the best line of games Gundam has to offer.

I cannot think of a better year for japanese games in the west without having to go back to the PS2 days and looking for the release schedule of the games back then.

Never played Gundam. But dear lord I am getting Virtual On vibes. I am there just for that!
