Forums - General Discussion - Doctor Suggesting MRI

Doctor is suggesting i get MRI for leg after having me take $500 xrays with the response: "Buy better shoes".?

My leg has been in pain since getting back from bootcamp. I went in and they told me the above. Bought 2 pairs worth $600 in total, fitted by the guys and the pain still exists right on my knee. A terrible pain. I have a month to Army AIT, terrible pain in my knee whenever i move it normally. What shoild i do? Im not made of money..

There's a large assortment of things that could cause that which would require an MRI to see. If you can find a way it's probably worth doing it.

Get the MRI, either that or get an honorable discharge from the Army.

You should probably get an MRI, they should have start with that to begin with since Xrays only show broken bones and larges ruptures in muscles. Problem is when your miniscus or something is ruptured the accumulated moisture in your knee makes it very difficult to see that.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

So what can they do to fix it? Honorable discharge isnt happening

nobody here is gonna be able to tell you what happened, there is no way for anyone to know only the MRI will tell you that. It's either going to get better slowly or you're gonna need surgery I would imagine.
