Forums - Gaming Discussion - Good places to sell your games?

I'm looking at Amazon's trade-in feature right now and while prices are decent considering the convenience, problem is the main thing I want to sell being Mario Kart 8 (so I can buy Deluxe version) isn't an option for some unknown reason. Do yal know of any other good places? (Don't say Gamestop lol)

Put it up on ebay or put up an ad on a website.

Strip clubs are pretty good. People are usually so horny that u can sell them anything that remotely resembles bewbs.

I also use craigslist.

Facebook group? I have sold games for good prices.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Facebook.

Also, different subject: Isnt it weird how good ratings MK8 Deluxe is getting? Like its literally the same game, only with a better battle mode, and everyone is like "Omg its amazing". We got almost the exact game 3 years ago. Like... WTF? WTF Nintendo?

I've never used a site where you sell directly to another gamer. Wouldn't I have to wait for someone to buy it and then pay for shipping? Not sure I feel like doing that just for maybe $10 or so more profit.

Damn, they were giving like $26 or so for MK8 like a week ago on amazon. After you said this I went and check, its gone now. I was honestly considering doing that deal in order for me to be able to buy MK 8 deluxe.

Ah wow, unfortunate then that I only just today thought of selling games I don't play anymore to aid me buying Switch stuff. =/

As one who's never used Facebook, is it even possible for me to sell it on there, or do I not have to already be apart of them "groups?"

You absolutely have to be part of a common/popular videogame group of your city. But its worth it, you can usually sell it for a better price in a FB group than in ebay.

I'm a game seller and I will tell you that it goes like this. If you want like 1/3 of the price of the game or less then go to gamestop or do amazon trade in. If you're willing to give it a little time and effort and maybe take a little bit of risk then read below.

Craigslist is best because it has no fees, but it has limitations. It may be impossible to find a buyer if it's not a popular game. The only risk is dealing with a stranger who could try to screw you, but I've never had this happen before. If it's possible i recommend selling on craigslist, if it's a heavy or expensive item I would really recommend craigslist if at all possible. Shipping is expensive and the risks of dealing with buyers online is real. I have had scammers screw me, and I had a PS3 that I sold destroyed in the mail which cost me a lot of money.

Ebay is good for mostly everything, the fees are lower than amazon and you can sell just about anything. I don't recommend doing an auction, do a buy it now price with an option for buyers to make their best offer. Ebay is more friendly to the seller than amazon but there are always risks when dealing with customers and with the post office.

Amazon is generally good too, the fees are higher but you can often get a higher price on amazon. Amazon has very buyer friendly policies that can drive sellers insane, but generally buyers are good and it's not usually a problem. It is easier to navigate amazon for new sellers I think and you can just leave your items on there forever until they sell.

Craigslist is always local otherwise you are going to get scammed. No matter what they say, it has to be either face to face or no sell with craigslist otherwise you are gonna get scammed. But I like cragislist cause the sale is usually quick and I can generally sell it for much higher than what I would get through trading it in. For example, Mario Kart 8 costs $80 in canada, ebgames would give me $25 if I traded it in but I sold it for $50 last year on craigslist. And the reason why they are willing to buy it for $50 is because the used version from ebgames still costs them $60.

I don't bother with ebay though because again, there is a much more chance of you getting scammed. Ebay favors buyers more so than sellers and there are plenty of ways to exploit in ebay. Craigslist is just either face to face or gtfo.
