It doesn't, and once it fails it will be used as a prove that third parties does bad on Nintendo consoles, Nintendo fans don't like non-cartoonish games, and all kinds of similar shit.

Yeah, that's what I think, too.

Thankfully I think Skyrim will do well and contradict those arguments.

I sure hope so!

Back to topic, I think Payday 2 might become the Switch's Devil's Third in having a fantastic multiplayer mode that unfortunately only few will play. I really hope to be wrong on this though! I wish every game all the success it deserves.

Does Payday 2 deserve succes though? I heard the game is fine but plenty of shitty business decisions

i think skyrim will sell 1m or closer LT and 500k this year maybe, depending on the marketing bethesda will do maybe sell more.

I'm a bit more optimistic with it, but 1 milion would be already fine for an old game.

Mhm, mirotransactions and stuff... I'll never touch these.

WIkipedia says Payday 2 already made it's developing costs back even before release, so a Switch port shouldn't need all that many sales to be regarded successfull, I guess. That's something.

I plan to get it, but I never actually played the game whereas I assume most others have.

That really depends on whether development costs were low or whether pre-orders were just very strong.

But I doubt the requirements for Switch sales will be big anyhow so it should be easy money.

Due to pre-orders it was, back then.

With these low requirements, it's gonna be Payday for Starbreeze! You see what I did there?

... yeah, I'll show myself out, thanks.

I think, early in a console's life, when there isn't much competition and people are starved for software, anything can happen.

True. This might have been one key factor that drove the decision to bring this game to Switch in the first place. As well as the mentioned ability to play it locally.
