So then, why have they never nuked the United States then, after all of these years of threats?

Because maybe they don't really have much to use and threatening is a lot more profiting to them than actually doing something. A suffering population due to excessive military spending is a lot more dangerous to them than any invasion.

Actually, an invasion is more dangerous to them, because it would open the floodgates on population transfer, which is something that the neighbouring couintrjes are not too keen on happening. China doesn't want millions of refugees flowing into their country, so that's one main reason they don't invade. North Korea knows that. And you just said that threatening is more profiting than actually doing something, which is my whole point: they're not going to nuke them because they risk too much doing so.

Do they really care though? All they've done is basically begging the rest of the world to invade them like a spoiled child trying to test his limits. If anything they believe no one would dare. I don't really see fear in any of their actions.

I don't really think anyone who has the power to order those nuclear strikes cares much about the consequences. If they really cared about it they would stop their provocations dressed up as defensive behavior. After all, ballistic missiles and nuclear warheads can hardly be used to "defend" their country.

I wouldn't really agree with that. Sure kim may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but surely even he knows what the consequences would be and that he'd be much happier being the undisputed ruler of North Korea than being violently deposed and tried for war crimes by the US...

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Being pampered your whole life only being fed propaganda warps your mind. Look at any dictator in history. You do a lot of stupid things without thinking of consequences when all you get to hear everyday is how great you are and that you cannot possibly fail.

Look at Trump.

Why should they believe that anyone would dare? It hasn't happened since 1953, despite them committing terrorist attacks, assassinations, developing nuclear weapons and threatening other countries.

Which is my point. They don't fear anything, not even possible repercussions after a deliberate attack.

For a nuclear attack they would. They've shelled South Korea since they've gotten nuclear weapons, sinking a shit and killing the people onboard. However, they have not used any nukes yet, because they know that they wouldn't be able to get away with it.

Hahahahahaha

Yeah, North Korea has a hard time keeping the lights on at night, they think they can take on the US, South Korea, and Japan? Maybe even China might join in.

...Goodness, I would love seeing the Kim dynasty come to an end and the Koreas ultimately reunited.

China is still an allied with North Korea. China would utterly destroy Japan and South Korea. Hell I even think China can beat the US.

I doubt this alliance would last for long if North Korea goes to war with China's more economically valuable trading partners.

Yeah sure, that's where they draw the line. Because moderation, levelheadedness and fear is all that North Korea is about. I don't think so. If they had nuclear weapons and if the provocation against them is big enough they will gladly push the button.

Please try to think like a dictator and not a rational person. Those things are mutually exclusive.

The North Korean leadership are not stupid. There's a reason they've been able to last this long, despite the collapse of the Soviet Union, extreme famines and immense poverty: they know when to get entangled and how to not cross the line.

Two horrible leaderships continuing their stupid fight. One makes hell for its citizens the other makes hell for citizens of other nations particularly in the middle eastern region
