I think it could be because of the games. If Pokemon stars is true the Switch will get

- MK8 Deluxe

- Splatoon 2

- Pokemon Stars

 

And perhaps Mario Odyssey and Arms can interest a lot of people. Then there could be more games to be announced at e3 for this year.

it was 5.5 months and what caused sales to be so low that a big price cut was needed? Lack of major software releases.

What major releases did 3DS have between the Febraury launch and the big Nov/Dec titles? Ocarina of Time 3D in June, that was literally it.

Switch has a much steadier flow of big games and i assume many of those predictions are based on the rumored Pokemon Stars, the hinted at Monster Hunter XX port and Dragon Quest XI releasing this year.

3.141592M = 3.141592 x 1million = 3,141,592 units.

and yes its Pi....  I thought I was being funny correcting him on the last digit as well :P

2 units more or less really dont matter all that much, for these corporations.

Hard to guess, I'm not really convinced about it's success yet. For now I'll keep it at 2.0-2.5m, which seems about right going by weekly averages. Perhaps more towards the upper end of that range.

Putting a number on it, why not 2.35m.
