Sony isn't even trying anymore.

Honestly i would rather have a cheaper option to play online without getting these """games""".

And what is trying to you? Do you expect AAA every month? Are they not trying if they aren't giving away $60 new games every month?

They gave away a value of over $1000 last year - were they trying then?

Giving games like Demon's Souls, Dragon's Dogma and Infamous 2 is trying.

This is just terrible, we knew the plus library was going to decay by forcing payed online with it, but i didn't expect it to be this bad.

There´s tons of cheap 2-3 year old AAA games that they could give, but they just don't care anymore.

Drawn to Death alone makes this awesome. David Jaffe

If they are cheap - why not go buy them? I much rather get a NEW indie that I haven't played than Infamous 2 that I played 6 years ago.

"You purchased this item on July 24, 2011." so almost 6 years ago.

If you are setting the bar at "cheap" why would you want old games you had YEARS to play instead of new ones that are coming out that day?

Lovers in a dangerous spacetime is $15. Infamous 2 is $10. So your version of "trying" is offering a 6 year old game that is cheaper than one they are giving away this month.

Infamous 2 wasn't 6 years old when it came on plus.

There's tons of AAA games i didn't buy back then during the PS3 era because i knew they would come on plus, i don't even have time to play all the games that interest me anyway.

Now it's just indie after indie, most of them i haven't even heard off before.

Ps Plus used to have good and relevant games, now it's only indies, some of them very questionable.

I assumed the games you listed were games you'd want to see NOW. Explains a lot since it was just a bunch of ps3 games. That was probably even before ps4 was out.

So let's try this again. What do you consider "trying" TODAY. What games do you want to see TODAY? How many of them do you want to see in each month?

How many AAA games a year means they are "trying"? They gave away over 1K value last year. If they only give away 800 this year.. but more AAA is that actually them trying more or less?

The whole value thing i honestly don't care about, i mean they could give 50.000$ worth of games but if none of them are appealing to me it's still 0$.

Ps plus could start giving games like Far Cry 4, Wolfenstein: New Order,  Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor, FFX remaster, or Dark Souls 2 Schoolar of the First Sin once every 2 or 3 months along with indies.

Ps Plus being bad in 2014 and 2015 was understandable, you can't just give 40$ dollar 6 months old games.

2016 was pushing it.

Now i've lost hope, the only good thing it has for me are the discounts.

I guess if you really like indies it's still a good service, as someone who maybe plays 1 or 2 of them every year, it kinda sucks.

See you are saying "they aren't trying" not "I don't care for them".

IF they gave away 50,000 in value - how would you ever POSSIBLY argue that weren't trying?

So your argument isn't "they aren't trying" it is "I don't care about them". One is a statement about Sony - one is a statement about you.

They could give 50,000 in value consisting of steam broken games, like the kind of games Jim Sterling plays to laugh at.

They aren't trying, plus used to have big games because it was almost the only reason to have it during the PS3 era, now since it's required to play online they just give bottom of the barrel games almost every month, why try if anyone who wants to play online will still get plus?

See now we are back to "they aren't trying" but your definition is games YOU want to play.

I play no online games. I still get PS plus. I typically get at least one game a month I want to play. Plus there are various benefits and price cuts.

Also how would Playstation give away steam broken games? They don't even allow early access.

They are giving away games releasing DAY ONE. Including rocket league, plus little big planet 3 and tearway this year (fairly sure on that). Yet you are arguing they aren't trying because YOU don't care for the games.

All of this in one year, Infamous 2, Little Big Planet 2, Borderlands, Resident Evil 5, Bioshock 2, Darksiders, Vanquish, Just Cause 2, Spacemarine and Gravity Rush for Vita.

And this wasn't even the best year.

Hell i still remember when they gave Red Dead Redemption lol.

Where are these type of games now? PS Plus fell to shit when it became mandatory to play online.

EDIT: Demon's Souls, Spec Ops, Sleeping Dogs...

I don't really know any of those games but I'll try them anyways. At least ps+ deals have been great for me lately

Remember when PS+ had consistently excellent games every month?

When was that?

Ha. Well, maybe I overstated things a bit. The offerings were better in the earlier years than they are now by many peoples measure. Not that the worst months are really that bad though.

Pretty poor month for me. If Drawn to Death is received well i'll give it a go, but it's not the type of thing i usually enjoy so i expect i'll drop it fairly quickly regardless.
