Forums - Nintendo Discussion - BOTW datamine hints towards Skyward sword hd.

An unused skyward sword costume set has been found in the data files of BOTW. Logically this points towards a skyward sword amiiboo being used to unlock it in the future meaning the existence of Skyward sword hd. All the game needs is a few new decent sized islands in the sky to explore then it would be one of the best zelda games.

Check out the end of this video to see the skyward sword costume set. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Mjo-DPhmes

Awesome. Hopefully it is more like WWHD than TPHD in terms of an update. Skyward Sword fits the Switch well considering the Switch's joycons retain motion controls.

In the past people were saying it was impossible to remake the game without a combat overhaul because of the motion controls but the Joycons solve everything and they will be far more reliable than wii motion plus due to the leap in technology.

Hmm, definitely wonder about the controls.. probably will have [better] motion controls, though I wonder if there will be an option to not have it at all then

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with the controls. As a big Zelda fan, I disliked the motion controls A LOT while playing Skyward Sword. Enemies always blocking your move, sometimes the controls wouldn't work, and it really got alot of people angry. Look up Skyward Sword motion controls on google. You'll see DOZONS of complaints about the controls. If they were to make Zelda Skyward Sword HD, it'll have to be a NON MOTION CONTROL traditional Zelda game. If they make SS HD with forced motion controls with no options to use a standard controller. I won't buy the game at all.  Normal controls = FUN

I wanna know how that'll even be possible when the game is designed around being able to swing any way you want. You can't just relegate a usual swing to a button press in SS. You woudn't really be able to beat the game.

I am having a hard time believing this game would be fun without motion controls. The puzzles and combat are designed around them.

Same here. How would it work? Nintendo would have to reinvent the game's mechanics.

The only problem with a Skyward Sword HD is the fact they already released Breath of the Wild on the Switch. Even with converting the controls the biggest complaints for Skyward Sword was the dungeon over world they made and the empty sky portions. Comparing that to Breath of the Wild won't be SS favor.

I really hope they port it over, it's the one main zelda title I haven't played and PeanutButterGamer's reviews have made me really want to give it a try.
