Is Media Molecule kinda... pretentious? Teraway debate.

I was trying to play the free PSPLUS game Teraway Unfolded for PS4 and... Yeks...

It felt like watching a experimental theatre by brazilian "intelectuals"...

I feel Media Molecule is kinda full of themselves, outright pretentious.

Maybe it is just that my intelligence is to low to apreciate true genious, but, man what a pain is to endure this game...

Anyone agree or am I, beside being stupid, just crazy?

Edit: I loved LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2, 3 is ok, but is not from MM. Dunno what happened. I expecter to love Tearway, but hated.

This game was meant as a PSV title. The transition to PS4 really hurted it.

I don't know about pretentious, but the studio is definitely interested in providing experimental, artsy titles that prioritize style over substance. I love MM for its sense of humor and creativity, but in terms of gameplay the studio has struggled.

LBP1 and 2 where good in my opinion, but I, for some reason, hated Tearway... dunno why, just feels pretentious to me

Love the MM style. Just downloaded Tearaway from PS Plus, will complete when I get some of my backlog cleared!

Tearaway felt the opposite of pretentious to me. A fun little game in a beautifully stylized world. Loved it on Vita and enjoyed it on PS4.

I downloaded for free from PSPLUS too. I guess it is wrong to criticize a gift, but... there you have it, I did it. I just hated =(
