Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Share Any Zelda BotW Criticisms/Issues!

The only problem I have is that there are some frame rate issues with the game (playing the Wii U version), especially in places where I'm not facing enemies like Hateno Village and Kakariko Village.

Besides the main criticisms. My other grip: Some shrine progress can be screwed. If you run out of ammo. I had one arrow. And there was one shrine to burn a boulder free. So it could jump to a door. If I didn't have one arrow, or missed. All that progress to that point would of been wasted. This is compounded due to losing weapons. VS. Well I just have to go back, and buy arrows. None of the chest gave me arrows. They gave me swords. So I could deal with the guard bots. But, nothing else.

The statis ability objects should only be used on the required items. I was statising the floor switches, that did nothing. Also the shrine with the big hammer. All the boulders could be statised. but, the slate access point, is too far. It be better to not have them glow. So people don't waste time attemping to freeze them. Second: That hammer, used with the gamepad. I got it to only work, by hitting the hammer under the ball. Broken accelorometer movement reading.

Horses have stats if you didn't notice yet. The better the stats the harder it is to get on. Ones with crappy stats don't need any soothing. The ones with great stats need multiple bars. Also for an FYI, the soothing stacks, so even if you only have 1 bar of stamina, you can just keep trying again and again.

And did it really go through a full 3 stamina cirlces? You are mashing the L button to soothe right?

I wasn't mashing it, figured that out later. Now I've got to find a bear again to ride, they kept dying after the 3rd time throwing me off. I was using soothe in a responsible way, not giving the horse arrhythmia by pounding on his neck like a madman :) I was trying to move link with the horse with the analog stick to stay in the saddle, perhaps using less stamina that way staying on longer, yet it was simply a case of mashing the L button, doh!

I got on a deer last night by mashing soothe. Are they supposed to run away as soon as you get off? He seemed to like me, then he ran. Too bad Lynels don't have the soothe option. Nor can you garrote them after you get on, too bad rated E.

Not enough Mipha.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Only horses stay when you get off. The rest run away. Or the seals that you rent also stay.

But the rest of the wildlife all flee as soon as you get off of them. And you can only register horses.

Random question that I think can be posed here. Can you edit the Gerudo outfit colour?

Yup, a Gerudo even suggest you to change the color to get a sense of identity with the outfit :D

What are your favorite dungeons?

In Botw? None of them so far. Camel "dungeon" was almost good, but whole level runs at 15 fps on Wii U.

Pretty much everything from TP and SS is a top-tier.

BotW shares the same issues as ALBW - freedom of choice and no restrictions for special items kills all the structure/difficulty/pacing.

Lanayru area and Snowpeak Ruins were perfect examples of overworld dungeons implementation.

I love idea with Lost Woods and Dark Woods in BotW. That's just not enough for me.
