People always underestimate the greatness of mario games until they release |
I'm not a mario person, so i legitimately forgot.
Oh shoot, had this game preordered and forgot about it. Psyched for this one for sure. Just hope I can find time to play it between Zelda and Fire Emblem.
Hopefully the high scores keep up. If it improves on the few things that bugged me in P4, it definitely deserves it.

Exciting times for all of us, so many good games releasing
98 meta incoming? XD I have it pre-ordered on PS3, hope it works since my PS3's Blu-ray drive has been making crazy sounds, will have to go digital if it doesn't
I'm so excited, the first time I pre-order a game in years. I was buying it regardless of scores but it's good to see it doing well so far

What was it that bugged you about P4? |
Probably minor things, but I hate having specific save areas in RPGs like this. It was so obnoxious getting blindsided by an enemy and losing hours of progress after trying to finish more than half a dungeon. I would have much preferred having the option to save whenever I want; being forced to replay the same sections is a stupid punishment that's more tedious than challenging. Tokyo Mirage Sessions and SMT IV fixed this, so it would be dissaponting to me if 5 uses the same system as 4.
I also really didn't like how the sim elements were mostly self-contained and didn't really affect the main game (outside of combat). This isn't something unique to Persona, but I hold it to a higher standard because of how much I loved the sim parts of the game.
English-only voice acting was also a bit of dissapointment, though I'm glad that will be fixed in 5.
Note that I also only played the vanilla version of 4, so maybe this was improved in Golden. Really hope 5 fixes my first complaint...been too scared to look it up.

Not surprised. Not every person is a mario fan :p
I like platforms a lot, so I definitely cannot wait for Yooka Laylee, odyssey, Shovel Knight, and anything else good
It's not really hard to top FF XV. It was kind of a mess.

IIRC you can't save your game anywhere you want in P5, but you have several "rest rooms" in dungeons allowing you to save and to teleport between the rest rooms and the entry of the dungeon.
EDIT: Too slow :/
