I just recently got back into gaming and got myself metal gear V. As soon as I finished that first sequence my first thought was, Damn, that's how you start a game. So for me it's that one since I can't remember another one that was as impressive.
Ffvi, the dark atmosphere and amazing sound was really great
uncharted 2 has my favorite opening hour, but being biased ill go with Pokemon black and white xD
Super Mario 64? Because I could just play.
Hmm.
Going by games with stories and not pick up and play or fighting games like Wii Sports or Smash...
RE4. Metroid Prime 3, Chrono Trigger, FF6, Bioshock 1, Super Mario Galaxy, Portal 2, Bayonetta 2, and COD 4 (why did COD have to do downhill from there?)
