I think its only Pokemon. The next Pokemon game will probably be on the Switch and 3DS.

It tells me Pokemon is a cash cow and if you want a system to sell, put Pokemon on it. Pokemon on Switch could shift million of systems, it has done its job multiple times to move 3DS.

Wrong, the 3DS was released in 2011, and it really shows, games like the new Pokemon do not support the 3d feature and even without 3d, the game drop frames like crazy. The 3ds is a dated console and Switch with IS the replacement. Hell, they are already developing a Pokemon game for it, supporting the 3DS any longer will hurt Switch sales, so no, the 3DS wont last 2 more years.

And if they release "Pokemon Stars" for Switch, it will be THE first main-line Pokemon game released on a home console. Which will be a big deal. And will help the Switch sell. So......

Nintendo is just keeping the 3DS around until the Switch can prove it can sell. Once the Switch starts selling out the 3DS will be dropped fast.

They should make the next Pokemon game DS exclusive. That's  a +200 million userbase.
