Forums - Politics Discussion - Anti-Trump Protester lights a girl's hair on fire!

Just another of these "Love Trumps Hate" cretins demonstrating their extreme hate.

You don't see pro Trump people attacking others.
You don't see pro Trump people pretending they are virtuous amazing people.
Then go on to be utter cunts and despicable people.

The left is nothing but a pathetic intellectually baron wasteland of washed up nobodies who resort to violence and can't debate about things they find uncomfortable.

It's not rocket science, anyone can see it, unless you are one of them.

You know he doesn't and you know what he was talking about. If we only pay attention to the news that reinforces out biases than we will only grow more divided.

You couldn't have described the OP better even if you tried.

Where's the video evidence or verified news of people who support Trump carrying out acts of hate and violence like this?

Answer? NOWHERE!

Violence is a symbol of the left, it gets celebrated by the left, downplayed by the left, normalized by the left, accepted by the left, excused by the left.

And oh, looky looky, right here on VGChartz...it gets celebrated by the left, downplayed by the left, normalized by the left, accepted by the left, excused by the left.

Did you follow that chain of posts? It was about 'confirmation bias'. Look it up as you're obviously guilty of it.

Because the Right never does anything violent...

Guess what? People do stupid and violent shit regardless of their political or religious affiliations.

So many generalizations, it's not even funny. Seriously, I have no words for some of you here. There is no point having a discussion about politics any more because most people here are so close minded that they see only what they want to see. Based on your post history it's beyond obvious that you will either defend the right 100% or the left 100% ignoring all the shitty things your fellow liberals/conservatives have done.

That's why I see no hope for humanity. We're way beyond debates and proper discussions.
Yes, this incident is horrible. No need to defend it or make it seem like not that big of a deal.
Yes, again, it's horrible. No need to deny your side has ever having done anything equally appalling or to attack all liberals based on isolated cases.

Have you asked yourself, "what made me post this story instead of another one that makes the party I support look bad?" Seriously. It's not hard to figure out.

I don't want to go on a rant or go off topic, but the beginning of the video clearly shows that they're set out to demoralize an entire protest with 150,000 people just because less than 1% of the people were jackasses. Just look at the description. Their intention was most likely to show this to make it seem like the protest was a hidden attempt to let people do a bunch of stuff against non-protestors.

I'm not supporting this at all, but when people only care about news for the sake of satisfying their belief (i.e this group is bad/good, etc.), then we end up seeing a huge cluster of info wars.

I participated in a debate class last year during my final year in High School. Unfortunately, most people were either hardcore liberal or hardcore conservative (says a lot about the quality of the class, right?). We once had a debate about US politics, and it eventually turned into a "He said this" and "she did that" debate (if you could even call it a debate). One person would share an event done by a liberal, the other would counterattack with an event done by a conservative/religious nut, etc. Became even dumber when the class had a debate about feminism. Turned into hell. I honestly feel dumbfounded by how people can quickly take any sort of event and twist it upside down to satisfy their own egos. How did we become so humiliating?

American politics really need a reformation.

1%  ? I would love to see how did you came up with that number, because there’s plenty of videos out there showing anti-Trump protestors, rioting, physically abusing people that don’t agree with them,  spitting on police officers, and destroying private property.

Did you read my post?

No the right doesn't do anything violent, certainly not the vast majority of the right and that majority never normalizes any violence carried out by extreme right wing elements.

The left, oh yeah that's different, they will defend assualt, violence, terrorist threats and absolutely anything that furthers the cause of the left.

You don't need confirmation bias to see people even in this thread attempting to downplay someone setting the hair of another person on fire.

The right doesn't do that, ever.

It's not the act I'm calling out, it's the people who support the act. You see it for what it is specifically, from this post at least but others have said "well I'm sure the other side does it to".

That's ridiculously wrong.

There's nothing wrong with generalizations, when used appropriately.

This isn't some virtue signalling shit, call out the left, call out the right and do it 100%

Things are much less "nuanced" than the progressive force fed bullshit pseudo intellects would have you and I believe.

Well... Sure this is not the sort of attitude that will improve people´s perception on anti-Trump protesters....

Why I'm not surprised the "more love please" crowd is doing this stuff?

At least in Brazil, several leftwing activists (and basically 100% of the ones that get more spotlight) complains about the lack of love and dialogue from right wing and them wish that all rightwing got gunshot, etc.
