"All consoles now are (based on) x86 PC's and the archtecture will remain the same, that's why Sony was able to quickly iterate on the PS4 and make a beefier version of it.

Scorpio is a next-gen machine with the added benefit that all of your old games will still be compatible. From this point on, similar to PC's, you'll not lose your library when you buy a next-gen system. I guess since NeoGAF is confused, Microsoft will need to do a little work to make it clear to everyone that Scorpio isn't just a half-assed upgrade (whcih PS4 Pro kind of is...) but rather a full blown next-gen machine that's just backwards compatible with your current library."

Also Jez from Windows Central said he heard the same thing. The leak from earlier today as from around June so things could have changed.

Thats what i tell people since its announcement, its not an upgrade, they Want to forget Xbox One and start à new génération, just liké Nintendo.

But they dont Want to scare Xbox One gamers so they dont give up on Xbox brand
