I could careless for Japanese games. Aside from very few RPGs like FF, I don't play them and they don't interest me.

Despite Kinect being a failure, I love its connectivity with my TV via voice commands.

I also like the app selection the most, particularly SlingTV since I have a subscription to that and being an American Football fan, Xbox gets the NFL network and ESPN. And if you claim I can connect with other stuff, I don't buy every piece of equipment, I like to have and clean space that is not cluttered with stuff. I only want one console that offers all the connectivity and Xbox has a better selection for U.S.

For me....

- The controller is the best imo.
- Online is amazing and superior, many of my friends play primarily on XBL.
- Backwards compatibility is awesome and with my new 4K TV upscaling capabilities and better performance make revisiting 360 titles for free amazing.
- Better games free with Gold.
- My XBox library is robust.
- 4K Blu-Ray built in.
- I have the hdmi USB HD antenna plug with free tv antenna integration. (Available on PS4 too).
- I don't have as many inputs in my new 4K TV but the XBox has a hdmi-in that allows my gaming computer to be accessible from my XBox One Dashboard.
-Better interface imo.

These are all personal reasons of course. But it is why the XBox One is my primary console. If the Scorpio is more powerful and allows me to do same as the above, I'm sold!

The backwards compatibility is something I forgot about. That is a major plus to me. I also think including UHD Blu-ray should have at least been in the PS4 pro. How is the online superior in XB1 though?

1). If you're buying a One S, it does have the benefit of being a cheap UHD media player on top of being a game system. For the most part, it'll get the support from the major pubs. That's why they try to keep it at a competitive price so the big third parties don't second guess about putting content on the platform.

Plus, if you don't own a capable PC, it's always an option for people who really like MS's franchises, but weren't in a hurry to get the console. Xbox also becomes an attractive option due to MS's constant deals for the system. If you're patient, there are times you can get the console with multiple game and gift card giveaways. MS spares no expense to try and get these in homes. It can be a big value for budget gamers.

That being said, if you're buying a console looking for the best specs at this stage of the game, it's time to wait until the Scorpio debut to see which SKU is worth your dough.

2). For exclusives, there's practically no reason for MS to seek out Japanese devs to develop content for Xbox anymore. Even if it's a contracted job, it's not a sure thing. The Japanese buying public has spoken. MS is likely still in the region as a face saving measure. MS gamers in the west will still buy these games if it's a major release, just not nearly as much as PS gamers. If the cost of devving ports for the platform outweighs the projected sales, then that's when it will be an issue.

3). See 1

4). Only playing Xbox games on PC, I couldn't tell you. I do hear they're trying to make improvements to the UI all the time. So I figure one day they'll have it ironed out.

4 is such a strong reason I would not want an XB1. I would rather save up and get a PC that can play games

better games, 4k player, better online service, backwards compatibility, better controller.. like everything it is all personal opinion. different people value different things.

The games are where I differ most. I prefer Japanese games and single player games.

Lol. My favorite games are Japanese, and I don't like sports. You can see why I have a hard time understanding.

Bought an Xbox one since it basically makes any other tech in your living room redundant. Also, graphical differences between it and the PS4 don't bother me.

Games appear to be cheaper on the Xbone too. Whenever I visit my gamestop, Xbone games are typically 10%+ less expensive than their PS4 counterparts.

Never heard that.

is it really that hard to understand that other people have different priorities than you? personally I look at a PS4 and can't see a single reason to buy one and I have been waiting since launch for a reason to get one. (I don't have a console allegience, I usually end up with all though I skipped Wii U)

More money (M$) more servers.  Just a fact, XBox Live has been around an entire generation ahead of the competition and has more support. Plus imo the fact I usually get 2 Xbox One games and 2 XBox 360 games free with gold every month makes it a superior online service.  Those 360 games are usually bwc so I can play them on a single console.

PS Plus doesn't offer that and don't get me started about NiN online services.

Steam still trumps all though.....but this isn't a PC discussion.

I actually didn't understand that comment. Why was it moderated?
