Forums - Gaming Discussion - Prediction: Xbox One will outsell Switch 3 to 1 this year

Switch will crush the XOne. Gaming isn't about graphics, gaming is about fun. And nothing beats Nintendo.

The Switch has a unique selling point whereas the XBox Scorpio is just another XBox whose graphics are already surpassed by PCs...

I am willing to bet a lot that the XB1 will outsell the Switch this year.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I think the xbox one doesn't have any sexy content for this year and the switch and playstation will have better sales. Also, scorpio is going to flop harder than the ps4 pro. More power doesn't' mean shit when your content is not there.

Where did the pro flop? Its outsold everywhere.

yeah I think I was on my period

This includes Xbox One s and Xbox Scorpio.

The Scorpio will likely be 400 dollars. The switch 300 dollars. The scorpio will be the only console to easy output 4k 60 fps games. The Scorpio will have graphics that are 12 times better than Nintendo Switch undocked and 6 times better when docked. Xbox Scorpio has tremendous 3rd party support while it is clear the Switch will not. Scorpio is totally backwards compatible with two generations on consoles and recieves new games daily.

Xbox One s will be 200 dollars or cheaper by the end of this year.  It will have a library over 1200 games by the end of this year. Xbox One s will still be the cheapest 4k blue ray player on the market.

Let's talk sales numbers. Xbox One s will likely sell about 8 million units and Xbox Scorpio will sell around 4 million units if released in august. I am willing to bet that nintendo switch only sells about 4 million units this year.

I believe xbox one will outsell switch 3 to 1. What do you guys think? I honestly dont see the switch selling more than wii u.

I would call this an "alternative facts"

With what games? It's not going to unless it shows something truly killer at E3. Not games I can get on PS4 or PC. Seriously with what?

Multiplat games. Hundreds of them.

Truth is it's only gaming forums that exclusives are fetishized. Regular gamers just mainly want access to the major multiplats, that's 90% of their gaming diet.

"Message board gamers" are like restaurant snobs in some ways, only eating certain kinds of foods, regular games don't really care about that shit, they just want a decent restaurant to sit in, maybe one that has some good nachos as a starter and a good steak.

XBox One S has plenty of games. More good games than any reasonable human being with any semblance of social/work/school life would even have time to play through.

This would be true, if people were actually buying those games on Xone. Hell Re7 pretty much just flopped on that system, so how can we really say multiplats are going to push it, when there not really being sold that much on it anyway?

I agree, E3 should be exciting and they also have hardware. And lets be honest Mass Effect, Red Dead, Assassins Creed among other games & more confirmed console exclusives, the switch has a hard lineup and it also missed 2 months of sales at the beginning of the year.

PS4 will outsell it for sure and XboxOne has a good chance to outsell it unless Nintendo does something great in form of third party support, price drop or E3 Suprise but I think the switch will really switch their sales up for the better next year.

Nah...they simply don't have the appeal. The Switch's lineup is weak as fuck right now save for one Glorious, magnificent title. But by the time anything noteworthy pops up on Scorpio, Switch will be hitting gears with something like Super Mario.

Xbox is done. Stick a fork in it.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

After E3 2017, I think it'll be much easier to predict

They will sell more on PS4. No one will buy X1 to play them

Seems like a very unfair comment, the majority of sales will go to PS4 because its sold better but both consoles will sell better. Also keep in mind the Scorpio will most likely run the games coming at the end of the year better, which will be a big deal for people who buy that console and if those people own a ps4 (take me for excample) the xbox version becomes the smarter choice to pick up.
