I was reffering to something it lacked, not something that it possessed, when I reffered to it as weak [in comparison to Xenogears], so a specific example isn't something that can really be cited. The simple fact is that it does not cover anywhere near the number of themes that Xenogears does, and with nowhere near the detail.

In what ways was Xenogears flawed?

I think he is referring to disk 2 of Xenogears.  I haven't played the game myself so I don't about any of the other game's flows.

If it wasn't for the budget cut on Xenogears on the 2nd disc that game would have been my greatest game ever now it's barely beaten by OoT.

I have still haven't played a game that beats Xenogears or Xenosagas story.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Well aside from a change in the narrative (which wasn't entirely to my liking but still something I could live with and not something that can be said to objectively be a flaw) the only real difference was that it added an even greater emphasis on the story, which was pretty ideal for me personally, and simply capitalized on the game's greatest strength.

So basically because Planescape Torment doesn't talk about 13 different topics it's automatically not as good as Xenogears?

again, I dont have played Xenogears

I dont wanted to down play this game

No, it's not as deep as Xenogears because it doesn't cover the quantity of themes in such detail. If we're talking about how it's not as good, I'd also point out how it's nowhere near as complex, nowhere near as emotional, and nowhere near possesive of such incredible music. As far as story is concerned it doesn't possess a single advantage over Xenogears.

You should, it definitely won't dissapoint.

Xenogears, by far. It explores just about every single theme and concept imaginable in the greatest of details, contains an absurd amount of symbolism and is generally of far greater scope. Planescape: Torment is pretty weak by comparison.

....just about every single theme and concept imaginable, huh.

Man, I would have to get a degree to come up with hyperbole that intense.

Indeed you would.

Now tell me how to embed youtube videos.

JRPGs tell the best stories you can find in any medium, and Xenogears specifically is the very best the genre (and storytelling of any medium) has to offer.

You are making my brain leak.

To embed Youtube videos, copy the URL of the video in question. When making a rich text reply (click the "reply" button or "quote" button) there is a control panel above the text box - to the right of the little yellow smilie face is a film reel. Click the film reel, paste thee URL into the appropriate box. Presto.
