Uninformed? Is that supposed to be an oxymoron on purpose or by accident?

"That's some good news. Netflix will be a must-have on a portable console. It's the most used app on xbox and playstation consoles so I can't imagine what it will be like on the NS."

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8562615

"Hmmm. There might be hope yet. That's a good thing in my opinion."

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8561211

Yep, as you can see I go out of my way to post in nintendo threads with nothing but uninformed and illogical arguments....

I don't even post in the ninty threads that often compared to where else I post. If I was out to shit all over anything nintendo, I would have been dealt with by the mods a long time ago. I'm just not a fan of the brand and I don't pull my punches so to speak with my criitcisms or thoughts on it when I do post on it. If that bothers some people, oh well they can learn to deal with it.

Not once did I ever say that I bring anything to the table. I'm not an egomaniac nor do I feel the need to seek approval from others.  I didn't even bring it up the whole table thing. Also I don't need some qualification that's defined by some moving metric to say what anyone brings to any table. I have a brain, that's good enough. I'm a neutral in the sense of what I bring to the community. I care about it but I don't really belong to any group because i'm fairly vocal about my opinions on everything so I tend get into a debate or two with most people on something sooner or later. I'm just some joe smo with an opinion who likes to debate.

Last night, I had this really heavy hittin' long post written out earlier in reply and the network timed out so it was lost.....

Yes, you post uninformed and illogical arguments.

You are one of those tinfoil hat guys who claim that Nintendo must be creating the Switch shortages on purpose, because for some reason you believe that they are good at predicting accurately how interested will people be in a product. You know, the same Nintendo that a few years ago had a negative shipment of one of their consoles and makes shit nobody wants like the Wii U from time to time.

I bet you guys said the same shit about the people who said the wii u wouldn't do well. Nintendo has a history of repeated shortages with multiple products across decades and no company at that level of success would have those kind of shortages by accident. It would be a epic fuck up on nintendo's part if that was the case and the person who's responsible for the shortages would have been fired decades ago. Besides, Amiibos are proof enough that Nintendo uses scarcity marketing.

Although it isn't related to the topic at had, I'll answer: I don't remember saying anything to Rol or other people who claimed that the Wii U would fail, so you're wrong again.

You haven't adressed the holes in your theory I pointed out in my previous post. Or how announcing that they'll keep producing the SNES mini in 2018 due to increased demand fits in it. Or why they somehow forget to use shortages with their products that are a failure (the ones that needed them the most). I mean, if Microsoft can create Xbox shortages in Japan, Nintendo should be a ble to create them too.

You say that the person responsible of the shortages would've been fired years ago. And who would be his/her infallible replacement?  One of those industry analysts who can't agree on the potential of their products? You, who predicted 30-40M Switches lifetime this summer? Yeah, I'm sure Nintendo would've shipped more Switches to Japan than just enough to match the sales of the system with the best first year ever (a system that has sold over 20M in Japan alone) if you were in charge.

And it wouldn't be so bad if you just posted and didn't call gullible to users who disagree with your views.

Double post - nothing to see here.

Speaking of 6 months. Tomorrow I have my 6 month anniversary for my last ban. So I expect my next moderation to be a warning.

I eagerly await to see what happens next time you're banned.

Well, there you have it. Proven beyond doubt. Ban reset doesn't exist.

Though, granted, they might've just done it to make you look stupid.

I was talking about ninty fans in general so I'm right on that. Do you think that my point hinges on if you said something or not. lol It's possible that you said something considering your reaction to me but you did specifically doesn't matter.

What holes? Announcing they'll keep producing more minis doesn't matter because they can say anything and no one is gonna hold them to it like it's some kind of contract. They can increase production each year and make sure it doesn't quite meet demand or have too much supply. Scarcity marketing only works on hot products because there has to be some demand in the first place. MS doesn't treat any market outside of the US seriouslly and I don't see why you're bringing up xbox.

It doesn't matter who the replacement and I never offered a suggestion. That's a strawman because that point is anyone who fucks up that much would be fired. Who gets job doesn't matter.

What analysts say doesn't matter in this. They're guessing for the most part and nintendo has the best idea out of anyone how in demand their product is and they know exactly how much product they can purchase.

So? It could play out like that. The wii u sold less than most low ball predictions. There's some ninty fans with prections for the NS being around 150 mil. It's just a prediction. It's not end of the world.

What a way to cherry pick that post. Let's some add some context.

"Yeah, man. The shortages happen.... because nintendo is so incompetent...I meant because nintendo has a hard time predicting demand.... that they haven't figured out how to not have to shortages since the NES.

There's no way nintendo is using scarcity marketing to help sell their products..... even though they do timed sales, limited run products, limited special editions of products, had repeated shortages over a wide range of their products and...... turned digital DLC (no shortages because it's digital) into toy-like figurines that give you access to exclusive DLC which.... somehow had shortages all the time.

gul·li·ble  (gŭl′ə-bəl)

adj.

Easily deceived or duped."

I didn't just call ninty fans gullible and just dip out. Honestly, it wasn't wise to cherry pick/quote that particular post from me.....

Around the Network

Is there a limit to how many official threads a user can have? I have 3 myself, I was thinking of asking for another one, but I haven't decided whether or not I'll go through with it. In any case, I'm probably going to have to make my NHL and Metal OPs look prettier any way, and prove that I can maintain three threads before getting a 4th one!

You could say the same for many people on the forum.

That doesn't mean you should come into a thread and mock or belittle them when they're trying to put a point across. You're doing the exact same thing here that you're complaining about Rol apparently "getting away with". You're attacking GNM's character and making it personal.

I'm making it personal by pointing out his love for the character?

"It seems obvious that you love this person."

That's mocking... Lol. Ok.

Yeah I have to agree here.  Not once did I get the sense that you were mocking him.  And if we're going to get this picky then you can pick holes in some of the short snappy replies you (or was it azuren got).  It's just overkill and reading way too much between the lines to say this is an attack especially when you make a valid point.

I've a feeling if I didn't make that point you would have had a shorter ban.  I feel bad now.  Apologies.

@argument about making continues false predictions

If the drill was allowed go as long as he was,  I can't see anyone being moderated for continues false predictions anytime soon.

If I remember correctly, TheDrill was banned once he admitted that he was a troll.

He was definitely mocking me, this happens a lot, he knows its easy to get a rise out of me so he tries.

Corrected.

But I could say "hello" to you and you'd say I am mocking or flame baiting you.  Anytime I don't agree with you and voice it, you get annoyed and overreact, and get agressive regardless of my wording.

I came to you multiple times via PMs to offer an olive branch. Many of those ended in a friendly manner with us getting to understand each other better. Yet anytime I'd argue about something you'd say, however polite I'd be, you'd get annoyed and say I am biased against you... Disregarding the discussed topic entirely to instead victimise yourself by bringing up old stories irrelevent to the discussion.
