Mario Maker 3DS selling over there like hotcakes. Could be Mario Run on iOS is helping it a little bit. Both games are quite nostalgic. Either way, clearly Mario Maker port to 3DS was a good idea, the offline-sharing aspect of that version is a better fit for 3DS in Japan than it is in the west.



The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

I hope ps4 continues to improve, i just want good japanese support on the ps4, hope dragon quest xi skyrockets the ps4 sales( for me the most anticipated ps4 game)

Every time I think 3DS is reaching market saturation in Japan it surprises. Stunning hardware and software numbers.

Personally I think the 2017 line-up for the PS4 is much stronger than it was in 2016 mostly because cross-platform (PS3-PS4) titles are finally dead. So a lot of those people holding on to their PS3s will have to upgrade in 2017. Also 2017 is starting stronger than 2016 thanks to a better 2016 than 2015.



Wow 3ds is really beasting.

Miitopias next week is going to be interesting. It might just be the christmas boost, or it's a slleper hit with killer legs.

PS4 had a pretty good year. Way more than I was expecting.



Pretty decent for the Japanese market, 1 system above 200k and 2 above 100k is nice. PS4 owners must not have solidarity in the games they buy or they buy digitally, as very few are charting...
