Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I miss the early Wii U days... Those days were the brightest days of the Console's life.

I am not going to miss the days Nintendo pretended they would support the Wii U and duped people (including me) into buying it.

They did support the Wii U, though. It didn't sell very well despite the support they gave, so they ended up having to abandon it.

They didn't provide the bare minimum of support. No Zelda and they considering all the Wii U ports to Switch no Mario Kart or Smash Bros or Splatoon, since you could have just waited a year or two for Switch and get those anyway with extra content, when all other Nintendo systems had most of their games be exclusive to that platform for at least a decade. If they released a Zelda game for Wii U (and not a crap port of Switch Zelda) and kept Wii U games on Wii U then that could be considered support, but they didn't. They didn't just abandon the Wii U but took a huge dump on Wii U owners by making their purchase worthless.

Wait, Splatoon and Mario Kart and Smash Brothers are confirmed for the Switch?

According to a leaker.

Breath of the Wild is still coming to the Wii U and as I said in another thread, the Switch version is a port of the Wii U version, not the other way around.

I fail to see how these games supposedly being ported to the Switch makes a Wii U purchase worthless. The fun you had with the original versions of the games shouldn't be invalidated just because of them. Besides, you don't have to get the Switch versions if you don't want to.

Exactly, so why are you crying like a baby?

You're getting me mixed up with Magnus. I wasn't complaining about some Wii U games supposedly being ported.

Fucking lol. Apologies.

Breath of the Wild will be the swansong... it will be remembered as underappreciated.
