Forums - Sony Discussion - Why do we still not have EA Access on PS4?

$30 a year (that's $2.50 a month) for access to over 35 EA games including Star Wars: Battlefront and Mirrors Edge: Catalyst.

You also get early access to the full version of games like Battlefield 1 with 10 hours of free playtime.

Sony claims it's not a good value for us yet they up the price of PS+ by $10 and give us nothing in return.

Not to mention the $99 a year 'value' of PS Now...

Seems they only care about value/choice when it benefits them.

You may have to direct that question to Shawn.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

So it doesn't compete with ps plus

nothing has changed since Sony first announced it wouldn't be on PS4 so I don't really see the point of asking the question

maybe people should put more pressure on Sony on their forums or something

Microsoft $$$. Sony said it wasn't a good value probably because they couldn't have it. I personally wouldn't pay for it.

I think the addition of Battlefront today just pissed me off.  I was thinking about the buying the game and it irritates me that I can't just subscribe to Access instead.

PS Now and EA Access are not competing, they are different services.

Hmm, pie.

Nice to see you again, doing the usual :D

You are answering your own question in your own post...
Sony doens't want it there, because it doesn't want something it doesn't find it good enough to be there.

If it upsets you that I want more options on PS4 maybe you stay out of my threads?

Probably because Sony does not want to compete against itself for the online fees revenue, whereas Microsoft can get that get a better deal out of this due to Sony's refusal and get a thing to differenciate the XBOne from the PS4.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I have been very close to purchasing Battlefront the past few days.

I see it is now on EA Access. Might have to sign up for that instead. I think it's probably the same price, but with Access I will get to try out some other games as well.

Does/Will access have/get all the DLC and future DLC?

Because nothing has changed? What was said in the first place, is still the reason now. Nothing has changed.

There is a HUGE delay between when the game comes out and when it is added to the vault.

"36 Mirror's Edge Catalyst June 7, 2016 November 9, 2016 [38]"
"37 EA Sports UFC 2 March 15, 2016 November 10, 2016 [38]"
"38 Star Wars Battlefront November 17, 2015 December 13, 2016 [39]"

I actually don't know anyone that has EA access.  It is basically an odd version of BC.

Thank goodness there is a company that tells us what is a good deal and what isn't. I sure wouldn't want to have the option to do that for myself.
